More tiny paintings

I have new scissors for decorative cuts and tried them on my A6 papers - some had to be fixed with nail scissors (is that what you call those tiny scissors for your fingernails?) because they're tricky to align when one cut isn't enough for a side.
Done with ink pens, watercolour pencils, chalk, and charcoal; papers are Fabriano Tiziano (greys and beige) cut to A6 size, Hahnemühle mould-made watercolour paper (white) 8×10,5cm, and a 3×4cm snippet of thick paper I had left from somewhere for the curly-haired woman.

Genius Loci: Mindsmith - Progression

A portrait of a Genius Loci character, or rather, profession: a mindsmith. I also created a GIF progression, so you can see how I made him (I believe it's a him - I'm honestly not sure, raganaj aren't dimorphous). You can find the article about these powerful psychologists in the Genius Loci blog, Starmaker's Gaze: http://starmakersgaze.blogspot.de/2016/12/mindsmiths.html

Growing Artist, acrylics and inks

A painting I did for the sake of trying out a new painting surface, canvas board, which worked fairly well; I'm still undecided though if I like texture of that magnitude, as it makes sharp lines hard to achieve. The painting based on a drawing from last year where I already painted this on the cover of a sketchbook. A series of WIPs is available on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/jenniferlange
"Growing Artist" or "Wachsender Künstler", acrylics and inks on canvas board, 30×40cm.

Repurposed playing cards

Is there anything more useless than an incomplete set of playing cards? We have several. When primed with white paint however, they give a decent tiny canvas (I also tried using a cheap gold paint that needed to be appplied VERY generously to be opaque); the drawings are done in ink pens, pencil, gold pen, and acrylic paint. They are also nice to colour with printer inks that make wonderfully surprising patterns
